Pre-cut cardboard kit for a fully functional pocket zoom microscope.
This small but mighty microscope offers everything its big brothers and sisters do. The computer-calculated four-lens acrylic optics produce a sharp-edged, colour-corrected image and can easily compete with many of the more expensive instruments available on the market. The magnification is continuously adjustable from 20x to 40x and makes the finest textile fibres, raster dots in colour prints, and much more visible.
How it works
First push the microscope together all the way (20x magnification) and pull out the stand a little. Place the microscope on top of the object and make sure it is well lit from the side. Look through the eyepiece and change the distance to the object by carefully pulling the stand out a little further or pushing it in until the image is completely sharp. For higher magnifications up to 40x, extend the microscope a bit and then proceed in exactly the same way. In general, when you increase the magnification, the distance between the objective and the object needs to decrease.

Things you will need for assembly:
- a firm and flat working surface, useful is a cutting mat
- a sharp craft knife or a scalpel
- a dull knife or a folding tool
- a bit of fine sandpaper
- a good universal glue
- a small, clean paintbrush
- adhesive film
- a black marker pen
Supervision by adults:
Children under the age of 14 should use the kit under adult supervision to avoid risks due to improper handling.
Take care with small parts:
Choking hazard! Keep small parts out of the reach of small children.
Risk of injury:
Take particular care when handling pointed and sharp parts! Use sharp tools with care and take suitable safety measures to avoid injury if necessary.
Fire hazard:
Keep away from open sources of fire and heat. Product contains highly flammable materials.
Caution when focussing light: Do not expose lenses to direct sunlight unattended as they can create a focal point.
Danger from sunlight:
Never look directly at the Sun through the telescope without using a suitable solar filter, as this can cause serious eye damage.
Use of adhesives:
When using adhesive, follow the manufacturer's safety instructions. Work in well-ventilated areas and avoid skin or eye contact.

The kit should be used in accordance with the enclosed instructions. Unauthorised modifications may impair the functionality and safety of the model built.
