A simple fire starter for everyone: safe and effective
This enables even beginners to master the traditional art of starting a fire by striking sparks. All you need is some dry tinder, e.g. a torn-up paper handkerchief or some dry grass. The stream of sparks is only produced when you scrape firmly along the metal rod with the sharp edge of a knife or the spark striker provided. Sufficient for thousands of ignitions, with a spark temperature of approx. 3,000°C / 5,500°F, even in wet conditions! Suitable for:
- Traditional fire-making with sparks and tinder
- Emergency fire-starter in survival situations
- Night-time signalling with flashes of light
