Solar eclipse over Europe!

Our solar eclipse glasses are the ideal choice for anyone who wants to observe the sun safely. Even though several solar eclipses take place every year, from Europe they are often only visible as partial eclipses. Another eclipse highlight is on the horizon in 2027: on 2 August 2027, a solar eclipse will be visible across Europe, particularly in southern Spain. And from Germany, it will at least be partially visible – with the Moon covering approximately 30–60 per cent of the Sun.

Reliable protection

Our solar eclipse glasses bear the CE mark and comply with the EN ISO 12312-2:2015 standard for eye safety during direct observation of the Sun. They utilise the AstroSolar® Silver/Gold film (Made in Germany) from Baader-Planetarium, which has been tried and tested millions of times and reduces sunlight by 99.999 per cent. This provides reliable protection against UV and IR radiation and allows you to look directly at the Sun safely.

Adult supervision:
These glasses are not a toy. Children under the age of 14 must only use these glasses under adult supervision to avoid risks arising from improper handling.

Health risk:
Avoid looking directly at the sun without protection, as this can cause serious eye damage.
Do not use the glasses in conjunction with other optical devices such as binoculars, telescopes or cameras.
Do not use for more than 3 minutes at a time.
If you have an existing eye condition, only use these glasses after consulting an ophthalmologist.
Do not walk around whilst wearing the glasses.
Glasses with a damaged or scratched protective film must no longer be used for solar observation, as they no longer provide adequate protection and pose a high health risk.

Fire hazard:
Keep away from open flames and sources of heat. The product contains highly flammable materials.

Intended use:
Unauthorised modifications may impair the functionality and safety of the solar viewing glasses.
