Five Convex Regular Polyhedrons
The five Platonic solids are named after the Greek philosopher Plato, who described them in detail around 400 BC in his dialogue "Timaeus". He regarded them as the tiniest, invisible building blocks of the world and associated them with the classical elements. However, these solids had been known for much longer; the engraved stone spheres from Scotland, which are up to 5,000 years old, are, for example, clear precursors.
This simple kit produces a set of Platonic solids with a uniform edge length of 5 cm; with the included hanging brackets, they are also suitable for use as a mobile.

Things you need for assembly:
- a firm, flat work surface – a cutting mat, for example, is useful
- a good all-purpose glue
- a sharp pair of scissors
- a blunt knife or a bone folder
- a ruler
- a thin thread and a sewing or darning needle
