Protection for your Eyes
The filter makes it possible to safely observe sun spots, planetary transits, or solar eclipses. The filter is made from double aluminised, CE-tested Baader AstroSolarTM foil with a filter factor of 1:100,000. Millions of people used this foil during the 1999 solar eclipse, it offers optimal eye protection.

Things you’ll need for assembly, or which might be useful:
- a firm, flat work surface – a cutting mat, for example, is useful
- a pair of scissors
- a sharp craft knife or scalpel
- a blunt knife or a bone folder
- a good all-purpose glue
- a rubber band
Adult supervision:
Children under the age of 14 should use the kit under adult supervision to avoid risks arising from improper handling.
Safe use:
Before each use, check the BAADER AstroSolar® Solar Filter Film for damage such as scuffs, scratches, or other safety-related issues. Do not continue to use a damaged film.
If the film is damaged or scratched, the solar filter attachment must no longer be used for solar observation, as it no longer provides adequate protection and poses a serious health risk.
Risk of injury:
Take particular care when handling pointed and sharp parts! Use sharp tools with caution and, where necessary, take appropriate safety measures to prevent injury.
Fire hazard:
Keep away from open flames and sources of heat. The product contains highly flammable materials.
Use of adhesives:
When using adhesives, follow the manufacturer’s safety instructions. Work in well-ventilated areas and avoid contact with skin or eyes.
Intended use:
The kit should be used in accordance with the enclosed instructions. Unauthorised modifications may compromise the functionality and safety of the assembled model.
